Multi-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication adds a second step to signing in. When you turn it on, you sign in with your password and a time-based code from an authenticator app on your phone.
An account with two-factor authentication turned on cannot sign in with its password alone.
When you turn it on, you also get one-time recovery codes. Keep them safe; each one signs you in once if you lose your phone.
